FOMENTANDO LA EMPATÍA

El pasado jueves 8 de septiembre, el grupo de Arzúa realizó una actividad donde simularon la realización del Camino con diferentes discapacidades sensoriales y de movilidad. No solo caminaron una parte del Camino Francés, sino que también se movieron por Arzúa e intentaron acceder a diferentes edificios para saber cómo de accesible es la localidad y sus establecimientos.

Tras la actividad, las voluntarias hicieron un ejercicio de reflexión, donde compartieron cómo se habían sentido. Todas estuvieron de acuerdo en que el ejercicio les había abierto los ojos a las múltiples barreras existentes para las personas con discapacidad.

Last Thursday, September 8, the group from Arzúa carried out an activity where they simulated the Camino with different sensory and mobility disabilities. They not only walked part of the French Way, but also moved around Arzúa and tried to access different buildings to find out how accessible the town and its establishments are.

After the activity, the volunteers did a reflection exercise, where they shared how they had felt. They all agreed that the exercise had opened their eyes to the many barriers that exist for people with disabilities.
