AGARIMOSA

Siempre se ha dicho que lo que para unos es basura, para otros puede ser un tesoro, y esto le ha pasado al grupo de Arzúa mientras limpiaban una zona con numerosos vertidos junto al camino el pasado 31 de agosto.

El tesoro encontrado ha sido una caja de antiguas botellas de cristal de una marca ya inexistente de agua de Arzúa, llamada Agarimosa.  Al ver las botellas fue inevitable pensar que ese pedacito de historia de Arzúa se merecían una segunda vida. Todo el grupo está muy ilusionado con la idea, de la que solo les adelantaremos que la llevaremos en una actividad que realizaremos próximamente en un cole de la localidad.

La riqueza de este hallazgo no solo se encuentra en lo material, con este descubrimiento todo el grupo ha ampliado su conocimiento de gallego, ya que AGARIMOSA significa CARIÑOSA, palabra que ya ha pasado a formar parte de la lista de palabras favoritas de nuestras voluntarias.

It has always been said that what for some is garbage, for others can be a treasure, and this has happened to the Arzúa group while they were cleaning up an area with numerous wastes next to the Camino on August 31st.

The treasure found was a box of old glass bottles of a now non-existent brand of water from Arzúa, called Agarimosa. Seeing the bottles, it was inevitable to think that this little piece of Arzúa history deserved a second life. The whole group is very excited about the idea, of which we will only tell you that we will take it to an activity that we will carry out soon in a local school.

The richness of this finding is not only found in the material, with this discovery the whole group has expanded their knowledge of Galician, since AGARIMOSA means LOVING, a word that has already become part of the list of favorite words of our volunteers.
