Promotion at Universidad da Coruna

?? The 30 of September is getting closer and so is our final exhibition. This week we worked as much as we could on that so that everything could be ready for the 22 but as far as I’m concerned I still have a lot to finish.

Apart from this, yesterday we went as Ferrol team to do a promotion moment of Esc and Xacobeando at University of Coruna Ferrol’s campus. The university organised a morning where the organizations could go and and bring their material to make themselves known to students and to promote their purposes. Each of them had their merchandise like bags, mugs, bottles or t shirts that was given for free after a little explanation of the association and sometimes in exchange for a photo on Instagram. Most of the stands were from university services but there were also some stands about bone marrow donation, sexual education, ferrol rugby and of course European Solidarity Corps.

For our stand we brought some posters about Esc and the exhibition, the European flag, some apples and bars and some stickers where we wrote the information about Esc to give the students as a reminder. A lot of people came to know more about the world of volunteering, and most of them didn’t know about this opportunity so we hope to have encouraged someone to take this wonderful path.

?? El 30 de septiembre está cada vez más cerca y nuestra exposición final también. Esta semana trabajamos lo más que pudimos en eso para que todo pudiera estar listo para el 22 pero en lo que a mí respecta aún me queda mucho por terminar.

Aparte de esto, ayer fuimos como equipo de Ferrol a hacer un momento de promoción de CES y Xacobeando en el campus de la Universidad de Coruña en Ferrol. La universidad organizó una mañana donde las organizaciones pudieron acudir y traer su material para darse a conocer a los estudiantes y promover sus propósitos. Cada uno de ellos tenía su mercancía como bolsas, tazas, botellas o camisetas que se entregaban gratis tras una pequeña explicación de la asociación y en ocasiones a cambio de una foto en Instagram. La mayoría de los stands eran de servicios universitarios pero también hubo algunos stands sobre donación de médula ósea, educación sexual, Ferrol rugby y por supuesto el Cuerpo Europeo de Solidaridad.

Para nuestro stand trajimos unos carteles sobre el CES y la exposición, la bandera europea, unas manzanas y barritas y unas pegatinas donde escribimos la información sobre el  CES para recordar a los alumnos. Mucha gente llegó a conocer más sobre el mundo del voluntariado, y la mayoría desconocía esta oportunidad por lo que esperamos haber animado a alguien a emprender este maravilloso camino.
