Bingo en Centro de Día de Alzheimer (Afalu)

La semana pasada fuimos al Centro de Día de Alzheimer (Afalu), en Lugo. Esta vez tuvimos la idea de hacer algo más interactivo con las personas mayores. Decidimos jugar al bingo, un juego conocido por todos. Algunos no tuvieron ganas de jugar.  Otros estaban muy atentos a escuchar el  siguiente número y borrarlo. Y nosotros, con la ayuda de las mujeres que trabajan allí, intentábamos ayudarlos. En algún momento escuché a una abuelita tarareando canciones gallegas, y me recordó a mis abuelas, que solían, también, cantar.

Last week we went to the Alzheimer’s Day Center (Afalu), in Lugo. This time we had the idea to do something more interactive with older people. We decided to play bingo, a game known to all. Some didn’t want to play. Others were very attentive to hear the next number and erase it. And we, with the help of the women who work there, tried to help them. Sometime i heard one lady humming Galician songs, and she  reminded  me of my grandmothers, who also used to sing.
