Mid-evaluation: back in Santiago!

?? On the last day of September all teams travelled back to Santiago for the mid-evaluation. It was great to see everyone after a month apart. Each group shared their stories, struggles and ideas, making us all look back on the work we have done, but at the same time motivating to do more during the remaining month. I, personally, got a lot of ideas and was excited to return to O Cádavo to try and implement them.

During our day in Santiago, we also had the opportunity to visit the city council. It’s located in the old town and cannot be accessed by everyone. So we had a rare advantage of seeing it from the inside. Each volunteer was presented with a beautiful drawing of Santiago… and the whole process felt like a graduation ceremony.

?? El último día de septiembre todos los equipos viajaron de regreso a Santiago para la evaluación intermedia. Fue genial verlos a todos después de un mes de diferencia. Cada grupo compartió sus historias, luchas e ideas, haciéndonos recordar el trabajo que hemos hecho, pero al mismo tiempo motivándonos a hacer más durante el mes restante. A mí personalmente me surgieron muchas ideas y me emocionaba volver a O Cádavo para intentar implementarlas.

Durante nuestro día en Santiago, también tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar el ayuntamiento. Está ubicado en el casco antiguo y no puede ser visitado por todos. Así que tuvimos la rara ventaja de verlo desde adentro. Cada voluntario recibió un hermoso dibujo de Santiago… y todo este proceso se vivió como una ceremonia de graduación.
