Happy Week

?? This week started on Tuesday and we kicked off the week on the camino. It was a bit hard because of the rain, but we still manage to explore and walk in it. On Wednesday it was preparation day for the cultural presentation on the senior center Domus VI and for the workshop that we will have next week with the kids about the environment. It was also an interview day. Artemis was going to be interviewed and I went with her just in case something was needed. At the beggining was hard to begin, due to the non-existence knowledge of the woman from the albergue about this activity. However, after all the permissions given everything went smootly.

Last week, was given us the chance to make an appearance on the radio. The only thing we needed to do was to record some audios about the topics we wanted to talk about. And yesterday these were played, which is a very exciting thing. In this same day, we had to do a presentation on the senior center Domus VI. I believe that it was a great experience for the both parts involved, everyone had fun and learned something new.  And the same way that we prepared some traditional food for everyone in the center, they also had some spanish food for us. It was a table with tortilla, empanada, pimientos padron, among others. Everything was perfect and tasty! By the end of the day we started to put the posters about the workshop all around towm. So fingers crossed for the kids to appear!

?? Esta semana empezó el martes y empezamos la semana en el camino. Fue un poco difícil debido a la lluvia, pero aún logramos explorar y caminar en él. El miércoles fue día de preparación para la presentación cultural del centro de mayores Domus VI y para el taller que tendremos la próxima semana con los niños sobre medio ambiente. También fue un día de entrevistas. Artemisa iba a ser entrevistada y la acompañé por si hacía falta algo. Al principio fue difícil comenzar, debido a la inexistencia de conocimiento de la mujer del albergue sobre esta actividad. Sin embargo, después de todos los permisos otorgados, todo salió bien.

La semana pasada, se nos dio la oportunidad de hacer una aparición en la radio. Lo único que teníamos que hacer era grabar algunos audios sobre los temas que queríamos hablar. Y ayer se jugaron estos, que es algo muy emocionante. Ese mismo día teníamos que hacer una presentación sobre el centro de mayores Domus VI. Creo que fue una gran experiencia para las dos partes involucradas, todos se divirtieron y aprendieron algo nuevo. Y de la misma manera que preparamos algo de comida tradicional para todos en el centro, también tenían algo de comida española para nosotros. Era una mesa con tortilla, empanada, pimientos padrón, entre otros. ¡Todo fue perfecto y sabroso! Al final del día empezamos a poner los carteles del taller por toda la ciudad. ¡Así que crucemos los dedos para que aparezcan los niños!
